Vincent Anthony Vaughn was born on March 28th 1970, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Vince wanted to act from an early age and after landing a Chevy commercial, he set of to Hollywood to become a film star.
However, like most young film hopefuls, Vince found life tough at the bottom. He went for audition after audition but failed to get his career off the ground.
His first credited role finally came in the film Rudy (1993). The movie itself was largely forgettable but it was during filming where Vince fellow actor Jon Favreau. Jon was writing a script at the time and since the pair became close friends, he wrote a part especially for Vince. The script was called Swingers, the movie was made in 1996 and Vince's performance was a revelation.
Steven Spielberg certainly thought so and instantly cast him in the big budget sequel The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997). Vince followed that up with the movies A Cool, Dry Place (1998) and Psycho (1998).
In 2001 VInce appeared in a cameo role in the comedy movie Zoolander alongside Ben Stiller and Luke Wilson. The three actors became friends and Vince decided that comedy was the genre for him.
Five years later, and Vince has established himself as one of the most bankable comedy actors in Hollywood with the movies Starsky n& Hutch (2004), Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004) and Wedding Crashers (2005). He recently joined the $20m a picture club and is rumoured to be dating Jennifer Anniston. I bet he can't believe his luck.
