Jamie Redknapp was born on June 25th 1973 on Barton-on-Sea, Dorset, England. He is the son of football manager Harry Redknappwho recently saved Portsmouth from relegation.
Jamie began his football career at AFC Bournemouth 1989-91 before moving to Liverpool FC 1991. He spent eleven happy years at Anfield before moving to Tottenham Hotspur FC in 2002. He stayed at Spurs for three years before heading off to Southampton FC but injury forced him to retire from the game soon after.
Jamie has represented his country seventeen times, scoring one goal. His England debut came on Wednesday, 6th September 1995 in a 0-0 draw against Colombia.
Jamie now works as a football pundit on both the BBC and Sky Sports.
Jamie Redknapp is married to former pop star Louise and the celebrity couple have a son, Charlie, who was born on July 27th 2004 weighing n6lb 6oz.
