Jesse Eden Metcalfe was born on December 9th 1978 in Connecticut, USA. He studied at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University before deciding to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. It wasn't long before Jesse was making his screen debut in the television series Passions in 1999. His role of Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald proved so popular he remained on the show for five years.
Upon leaving the successful series, Jesse appeared in a few episodes of the superman television drama Smallville (2004) before landing the role that would bring him worldwide fame.
The producers of a new television series were looking for a sexy young star to play the lover of an older woman. Jesse was cast as John Rowland and Desperate Housewives hit the small screen in 2004. The series was a tremendous success and Jesse was suddenly the hottest man on television.
Jesse has since left Desperate Housewives and is now trying to make his way in Hollywood.
Jesse is believed to be dating Nadine Coyle, the beautiful Irish singer form pop group Girls Aloud.
