Matt LeBlanc

Matt LeBlanc was born July 25th 1967 in Newton, Massachusetts. He studied at the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston but left after just one term to pursue a career in the world of entertainment.

After numerous modeling jobs, Matt moved onto commercials. He appeared in so many, he almost became a television star in his own right. As well as his award winning 1987 Heinz ketchup commercial, he appeared in advertisements for Levi's, Doritos and Coca-Cola.

Matt made his first proper acting appearance in the television series TV 101 (1988). But in the years that followed, he struggled to find a footing. The only real highlights were guest appearances on Married... with Children (1991) and Red Shoe Diaries (1993).

However, everything changed in 1994 when Matt was offered the part of Joey Tribbiani in a new comedy series to be called Friends. The show would run for ten years and establish Matt and his five buddies as the best paid actors in television history.

Matt's character proved so popular that he was offered his own spin off series Joey (2004).

During Matt's ten years on Friends he also appeared in handful of movies including Lost in Space (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000).
