William George Zane Jr, or plain old Billy as we know him, was born February 24th 1966 in Chicago, USA. He had an love of movies from a young age, and in his early teens, he attended Harand Camp of the Theater Arts in Wisconsin.
After graduating high school, Billy made the move to California to become a movie star. Within three weeks, he won his first significant screen role in Back to the Future (1985). He followed this up with a small role in the film Critters (1986), and then numerous television movies.
His big break came in 1989, when he was cast in the film Dead Calm alongside Nicole Kidman. The movie was a worldwide success and Billy was an overnight star. It was on the set of this movie that he met his future wife, Lisa Collins. They were married from for six years before going their separate ways in 995.
However, in the years that followed, Billy failed to make the most of his position as one of Hollywood's hottest new actors. A series of bad decisions left him with just Memphis Belle (1990) and The Phantom (1996) as highlights amongst a whole host of forgettable movies.
In 1997 Billy was cast as Cal Hockley in the billion dollar grossing movie Titanic. Although the film become the biggest motion picture of all-time, it did little to boost Billy's flagging career.
Billy is currently engaged to English actress Kelly Brook. The couple met whilst filming the erotic thriller Three (2005).
