Travis Fimmel

Travis Fimmel was born on July 15th 1979 in Victoria, Australia. In 1997 he moved to Melbourne to play football and study project management at RMIT University. His sporting career was cut short when he broke a leg, and soon after he began losing interest in his studies as well.

Fortunately, when working out in a Melbourne gym he was spotted by an employee of Chadwick Model Management. The talent scout recognized the potential in the young good looking Travis and signed him up straight away.

Travis immediately quit studying and headed for London to work as a model. After two years of small scale work, he decided to return to Australia to try to raise enough money to move to the United States.

Upon arriving in America, Travis was instantly signed up to a Los Angeles modeling agency. Not long afterwards he was offered the chance to become the new model for Calvin Klein underwear. Travis accepted and the rest is history.

With his new found fame, Travis decided it was a good time to make the move from modeling to acting. His first role was as Tarzan in the WB television series. Although the show has since been axed, it helped raise Fimmel's profile both in the US and throughout the world. With a little luck, he could be the next Aussie hunk to make a name for himself in Hollywood.
