David Duchovny

David William Duchovny was born on August 7th 1960 in New York City. He studied English Literature at Yale University but during this period he began dreaming of becoming an actor. Whenever he had a spare couple of days, he would commute to New York to learn the craft of acting.

David's natural talent shawn through, and before long, he was appearing in off-Broadway plays. However, David desperately wanted to get into movies and began going forward for auditions by the dozen.

His first screen appearance came in Working Girl (1988) alongside Melanie Griffiths but his part was very small. Nevertheless, this led to roles in television shows Twin Peaks (1991) and The Red Shoe Diaries (1992)

In 1993 David's life changed forever when he won the role of Special Agent Fox Mulder in a new television series to be called The X-Files. The show became phenomenally successful and David Duchovny became one of the most famous men on the planet. The memorable programme ran for eight years and will go down in history as one of the greatest television series ever made.

David has also appeared in movies such as Evolution (2001), Zoolander (2001) and. Connie and Carla (2004).

He is married to the wonderful actress Téa Leoni and the celebrity couple have two children.
